Here we are once again getting into Stampede Party mode! What with decorating around Calgary and Vicinity with our upscale western decor, and hosting Stampede functions at the Wild Wild West Event Centre, we are running fast!
Everything from Corporate to Family functions and Rodeos!!
Look for us again this year in the Stampede Parade representing the immigration of pioneers from the East in the 1880’s. With our ladies and little Owen in the carriage and our cowboy escort following behind, we embrace the glorious history of the west.
Oh, and if that were not enough to keep us busy, we thought we would open a pub at Louisiette’s! We are welcoming Red Seal Chef Jody Barned to our family. She will, along with our own Michelle, be looking after menus and meals at the Wild Wild West, Louisiette’s, and our new Pub!

Come on down to see us! At the parade, at our rodeos, at our Louisiette’s Pub and Restaurant, and / or to have a party at the Wild Wild West Event Centre!

We do rides here at the Wild Wild West during our Christmas parties as well, so prancing horses, laughing children, and celebrating adults are the order of the day here and all around town!

Michael and I are off to Victoria on Monday, November 30 to December 3, for
Canada’s West Marketplace to renew connections and to make new ones in the industry with people from around the world. More and more people are finding out all that we have to offer and how we help to make everyone’s event and party life easier, better, and a whole lot more fun!

Wow, it has been a busy summer and September. But here I am back with some news from the Wild Wild West!

We had a wonderful time with our weekly rodeos, each week got better and better. We ended the season with Steve Pearson’s Charity Rodeo in memory of his mom, Catherine Pearson. We were all so pleased with the turn out for this fundraiser and with the wonderful amount of funds raised for the Catherine Pearson Cancer Fund.
Thank you everyone for supporting this fundraiser!!

We also had summer events booked where corporations and families came out to enjoy camaraderie and to celebrate.
Not to forget the weddings! How fun is it to join in everyone’s happiness in a variety of situations!

We are now looking forward to another season of events from
HALLOWE’EN to CHRISTMAS.

We enjoy putting our own individual touch to all of our events, whether it be to western it up, to have it countrified, or whatever our clients like to see.

And Louisiette’s is really coming into it’s own, what with a new menu and a small gift shop - How exciting times are over here!
Authentic Western Production’s Wild Wild West and Native characters and horses were invited to personify the Old West as opposed to the very modern and futuristic exploits of the amazingly awe inspiring antics of the motorbike gymnastics characterized by the X-FIGHTERS. What a time we had!
For the opening, two warriors on horseback, Otis Potts and Scot Provost, rode crisscrossing through the arena, encouraging the crowd, then stood on guard on top of the hills while the blessing by Hal Eagletail, his two daughters, and two warriors, Allan Little Mustache and Bruce Starlight, was delivered. It was breath taking!

Then the show began. OMG!!

World famous stunt riders commenced to ride up the hills and jump across to the other hill. Hold it though, they didn’t just jump across, they flipped their bikes upside down as they were coming off the bikes doing flips, as well! Just wait until you see the photos, that I will be posting as soon as I receive them!
Next, two of our western characters, Michael Werbisky and Rod Bennett, came out on horseback to chase the stunt riders, while firing their prop guns. Motorbikes coming straight at the horses and riders and being in turn faced by the them!

Then more unbelievable stunts, followed by our western characters Michael Werbisky and Scott Wiebe, as rodeo clowns with the stunt riders as the Bulls. Amazing!

More stunt riders totally astounding the crowd, which was deafening, to say the least.

Next, we (Michael and Diane, Rod and Scott, and Connie and Vern), came out in three antique chuckwagons and teams, amid commentary explaining the history of the chuckwagon to the Old West. We delivered the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize trophies. We circled the arena to tremendous cheering, what a feeling!! Presented the trophies to two RCMP Officers, and made our way back out to the track. Congrats to our horses who never flinched despite facing motorbikes, LOUD music, and INCREDIBLE pyrotechnics.
Thank you to the Calgary Stampede for recommending us
and to Vincent and Tony from Montreal who hired us for the Red Bull X-Fighters!!

Michael and I will be attending our third Rendez-Vous Canada starting on Saturday, May 9th until Wednesday, May 13th at the Round - Up Centre, booth 250.
The first one was in Quebec City in 2007 and last year we went to Vancouver. We made some really amazing contacts and made lots of new friends from all over the world.
Quebec City was so welcoming and what wonderful hosts! Of course, the beauty of the city is unquestionable and so historic! The contacts we made there have remained close to us.
In Vancouver, we had warm sunny weather, which was a big bonus. We were able to experience the hospitality of our west coast city and make lots of new contacts, as well.
This year, in Calgary, we have the opportunity to show the world how very special Calgary is! In true Calgary spirit, we will do it right!!
Here, at the Wild Wild West, we are welcoming people from around the world to our venue to introduce them to the west and the cowboy way.
Starting off with our new Cowboyology 101 Audio/Visual presentation and then moving onto Rodeo 101, where our guests will be shown different hands-on Rodeo techniques and information. They will also be treated to two photo opportunities - one on a bucking horse statue and one with our inimitable Fourlorne Cattle Co. Gunfight characters playing Texas Hold’em. They will have the chance to try to rope a calf on our Roper Horse machine and to try their hand at Tipi Building. Also, weather permitting we are offering, in conjunction with Rocky Mountain Helicopters, helicopter rides of the area and a taste of Mounted Cowboy Shooting.
To top it all off, we will have tasty food experiences for everyone, as well as libations!

Another wedding ceremony and reception were held here last weekend.
Beautiful bride, handsome groom, wonderful people, great food, lots of fun, dancing, and sharing of memories.
But that’s where the similarity ended. I was totally blown away by the radiant bride as she came down the aisle in her amazing red gown! She looked like a Southern Belle! How original and gorgeous! The bride and groom were the perfect couple. She had kept the secret of the colour of her dress from her groom and everyone else.
What a WOW factor for everybody!

Congratulations Ryan and Carla! Lots of love, happiness, and fun in your life together!

We love our weddings here, each and every couple is special to us. We strive to accommodate everyone’s wishes to the best of our abilities. We do our utmost to make the wedding day stress free.

See more info on our Wedding Page and photos on our Wedding Photos Page.

Things are jumping around here! Bookings coming in fast and furious (well not furious, exciting!!) Sprucing up our halls, new finishes on our floor in the Western Centre, talking to all of our Rodeo folk, generally brainstorming, and all that good stuff. “Loving every minute of it.”
Now, if the snow would just disappear from our courtyard, we could start planting flowers and shrubs. Isn’t it wonderful the renewed energy spring brings?
Happy Easter everyone!
